Such a powerful, uplifting, fun memoir! I too was raised a Jehovah's Witness and I saw some of the craziest, born in a barn things in this religion. I too was shunned and had to take back my life. Katie's story is amazing, I love that she used comedy to channel her disappointments and having to be an adult in her early life. There is hysterical phrases and the Eduardo teen love interest had me cracking up. Comedy can be healing and most people have known or have a JW in their family and this will help you learn the things they try not to let the public know, WHO THEY REALLY ARE. Lol. Katie has serious talent in writing and comedy, but her heart of gold really comes through too.… (plus d'informations)

Katie Love empowers women! This was a very well written memoir of leaving a wacky cult and Katie tells the story in a funny, relatable way and followed her passion and calling as a comedian. I related to this story on many levels because my mother was co-dependent on me too as a child and shunned me for not being at her becking call as an adult and that was painful. What is interesting about this story is I learned about the Jehovah cult. There is so many Jehovah's I have known between having cleaners in my home to hearing patients talk at waiting rooms of doctor offices and Katie really shows insight on how abusive and strange this misgoynist culture is. I can't believe this religion is even around today. Their doomsday and shunning policy is ruining people's lives. Thanks Katie for your hard work and I love your writing style and humor. :)… (plus d'informations)
