What an interesting idea. I, of course, have no belief at all in the idea of the tarot, but I enjoy the mythology and history of it, and pairing them up with Shakespearean characters, ideals, and quotes, is a brilliant idea. The references run across all of the plays, so this isn't just a mainstream attempt to link Romeo and Juliet into everything. A lovely little trinket.

I was excited for a book of design based on Greek goddesses, but it was so surface-level as to be useless. It basically just takes a handful of goddess correspondences and waxes fluffily about them. The biggest insult was glossing over the "ickier" aspects of the goddesses in order to maintain the faux inspirational aesthetic (Callisto was not "seduced" by Zeus, she was raped!). I gave the book more than 1 star because there was one image that had a great idea for decorating empty doorways. Otherwise, though, you're better off doing a quick search on the goddesses' correspondences and making up related decoration ideas yourself.½

This book gives a good general overview of the "Green" movement with its roots in the transcendentalist movements in the 19th century up to the more modern ones of today. It discusses haow many industries are adapting to the demands of modern people that we look after and take care of the earth, with emphasis on what type of people need to be in positions to make those happen.
Someone lookings for a career that also has a backround in preservation or is just environmentally conscious would benefit from this book.

Some nice photos and places, but not wonderful overall. A bit pretentious.

Personally, I love this deck of tarot cards - each of the major arcana are depicted by a relevant character from one of Shakespeare's plays, and each of the minor arcana include a relevant quote from one of Shakespeare's plays. The book included with the deck is extremely informative, and gives an in-depth explanation as to why each character and quote were selected. The descriptions include both an explanation of the meaning of the card within the tarot deck, as well as an explanation of the play the character or quote was lifted from. As both a lover of tarot and of Shakespeare, this is a very beautiful blend of those things.½
