When Frankie Marks lands a job at the prestigious GGC Agency no one is more surprised than she is. Especially as she didn’t even apply for the role. But she is determined to make the most of this surprise opportunity as she is in desperate need of a job and how hard can fashion PR actually be? Well, this book exposes just how hard people work behind all the glitz and glamour. How difficult it is to create ‘buzz’ around the latest piece of fashion wear. The work that goes into making sure all the right people have their ‘correct’ seats on the front row for the all-important fashion show and how short these shows actually are. Frankie finds herself drawn deeper into the crazy fashion world with all its Diva’s, unobtainable expectations, chaotic photoshoots and headline grabbing mishaps. Despite her best efforts the better she gets at her job the more her personal life and relationships suffer, although I don’t think this could be called a ‘rom com’ as the fashion business takes centre stage in this story. I would say this is a perfect summer read. Fun, light-hearted and escapist. Ideal for reading whilst lounging in the sun with a glass of vino and your best Gucci sunglasses.… (plus d'informations)
