Tempting the Vicar by Liana LeFey is the 2nd book in "Wicked Waywards" series, "The Devil's Own". I highly recommend reading THE DEVIL'S OWN", first in order to better understand the characters and the plot.

However, it is quick, fun read, a bit slow in parts but, it's worth reading.

It's a tale of twins, one rakish and the other a vicar, switching places with the other and creating chaos, hurt and finally finding true love. Devlin and Daniel Wayward are identical twins. Devlin is the black sheep of the family and had been banished, while, Daniel is the Vicar, he gets caught up is his brother's scheme.
A Regency Historical Romance that keeps the reader guesting to the end. An enjoyable, entertaining and a fun read.

Setting: London 1817

This a good friends to lovers story. It’s quite realistic in the timing and flow. I liked Lord Sorin. He’s (most of the time) honorable, loyal, and trustworthy. He really had Lady Eleanor’s best interest at heart. He did leave for five years to try and get her out of his system.

Lady Eleanor has gone from being impulsive and immature to a proper lady. A proper lady that’s independently wealthy. Her wealth attracts the attention of an unsavory character from her past that will do anything to get his hands on it.

Overall this was a good story. It’s a sweet, mostly clean romance with an uncomplicated plot. There were a few slow parts and in the beginning Caroline was kind of aggravating. I really liked Lady Wincanton, Lord Sorin’s mother.

I received a copy for review on Celtic Dragon Book Reviews. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book, it was unbelievable what woman went thru back then, one lie and there life as they knew could be ruined. Lady Diane was betrayed by her fiance and best friend and found an ally in Harrow, he was so good to her and crazingly enough Harrow's wife was also not only accepting of the relationship that Harrow and Diana had, but had also become a very good or more like family. Lord Blackthorn comes back after being banished by his family for causing a scandal and you would think that he would stay far away from it, but not the case the minute that he sees Diana he wants her and he thinks that something is not right with her relationship with her protector and he sets out to find out what it is since he is determined to have her..wow, we have some twist and turns and eventually justice and redemption..Enjoy!

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions
