There were a couple of ingredients that I wasn't very familiar with in this cookbook, but the author included photos of some of them at the end of the book. The recipes look very easy to make and sound delicious. They appear to be relatively healthy, and I can't wait to try several of them out for myself.

I have to admit, I've only ever tried Egg Drop Soup before as far as Chinese soups go. However, after reading this cookbook, I think that I need to broaden my horizons a bit. The soups sound extremely easy to make and most of them piqued my interest (the ones that didn't just weren't my style to begin with).

I find it somewhat odd that this book is described as an 'activity book'. The book simply lists the names of numbers in English and Chinese, which is of course very useful if you wish to learn numbers in Chinese, but for an activiy book I would expect some activities to be suggested in the book, perhaps activities to make the learning of numbers easier or to make the numbers easier to remember.

There is something here for everyone. I can't wait for colder weather to enjoy them all. There is a soup for every different taste. I really enjoyed the Chicken and Sweet Corn Soup. The only problem with reading the recipes is that they are written using grams and liters instead of teaspoons and cups.
