The synopsis provides a detailed glimpse into what you can expect from this book so if you are sensitive and don’t like to read or hear anything of an apathetic nature then walk away. It’s really not that severe, so just keep in mind that this book was written by someone who suffers with a mental illness and enjoy having an inside look into how the mind can work.

Personally I loved My Graphic Bipolar Fantasies, but perhaps I do have a dark mind myself, so I found it refreshing to read something that has been written by someone this relatable. R.B. Le Deach has many interesting stories and opinions in the book, and I found them to be eye-opening and refreshing. While being entertained by this read I was also learning something about how different minds can work, especially through the prism of bipolar disorder. Definitey a book I recommend.… (plus d'informations)

My Graphic Bipolar Fantasies: & Other Short Stories by R.B. Le`Deach is an interesting collection of stories that reflect the thoughts of the author who is bipolar. He fully states in the beginning of the book that these are merely thoughts, stories, fantasies and that he has no intention of harming anyone. In addition to that, the author dispenses his opinion on various topics relevant to today, such as abortion and politics. If you can get past some of the rough language and callous nature of some of the writing, you can simply enjoy this book for what it is, one man's opinion about life and all of it's calamities. Truly a a fascinating read that opens your eyes to mental illness and all of its ramifications. Recommend.… (plus d'informations)

Author RB Le’Deach penned his first book PERSONALITY DISORDER NOT OTHERWISE SPECIFIED: CONFESSIONS OF A BIPOLAR PATIENT and that book contains all the biographical information available – he is from the Deep South, experienced alcoholism, served in the military, and later started meds for his bipolar disorder. Now he offers his second publication – MY GRAPHIC BIPOLAR FANTASIES – and it becomes apparent that he is an observant mind for our time, relating events and ideas and movements from a personal approach.

In the Prologue Le’Deach sets the tone of his book with a note: ‘For all you professional writers and readers out there, I am bipolar; I create my own version for my manual of style, so get over it!’ He then proceeds to hint at his political stance: Given that tenor, De’Leach opens Chapter One with – ‘I am a current, still-living bipolarist. I am a recovering alcoholic. I used to be an illicit chemical drug user a long time ago. I was afflicted with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as a kid, and I am still touched by obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)… I classify myself as Bipolar Three (BP3). My mind lives in a fantasyland most of the time…This book is filled with short stories that are somewhat rooted in reality. They are mostly opinion, heavy opinion. The fantasies are not based on reality. But this is not a book of fiction because the fantasies actually happened in my mind.’

The stories – and fantasies – shared here are the thoughts and opinions of man with a mental disorder, willing to open his ideas for consideration of a new perception of crime, politics, freedom, and contemporary situations – such as the coronavirus pandemic, politics, current music, abortion, the Supreme Court, the US/Mexico border, UFOs, the death penalty and on and on. Reading this book can be taxing unless the reader agrees with the author, but as with all literature, the spectrum of opinion deserves voicing.

Author R. B. Le`Deach was born a Motown baby. He grew up in the Deep South in a large family of twelve, some of whom had issues and were given medication. R. B. himself self-medicated with alcohol starting at the ripe young age of about twelve, and it is clear from reading his latest book "My Graphic Bipolar Fantasies & Other short Stories that the author has suffered with mental issues during his lifetime.

R.B. Le’Deach’s engrossing book is a thought-provoking and eye opening reflection on his thoughts, opinions and fantasies as a man who suffers with a daunting diagnosis.
Admittedly I did struggle to get my head around some of the fantasies/stories as some parts are quite shocking but nontheless it did not deter me from enjoying the book.

If you enjoy reading something that's a little on the dark and transgressive side then I think you would probably enjoy this book. Highly recommended for those wanting something outside of the norm.
