For instance, one of the example problems asks about the manufacture of floppy disks as inquired by a maker of mainframe computers. Now just in that sentence there are two antiquated pieces of technology; the floppy diskette and the mainframe computer, but the question requires you to use the Binomial Distribution to figure out the answer. As far as I know, that mathematical equation has not gone out of style.
