A mixed bag, as these anthologies often are. Some of the entries - particularly in the first third of the book - are rather obscure. But I especially enjoyed Honor Tracy's 1950 record of a night out on the town in Cork with a charming Professor. There's also an excellent and somewhat surreal account from a passenger of the Lusitania of how she survived the torpedoing of the liner and was brought to shore in Queenstown (Cobh) - which I might use in a future history course some day.… (plus d'informations)
