Petty as fuck but I mainly stopped reading because the dragon's name was RED HENRY.

NO!

JUST NO!

Quite excellent. I need to think on what to say without giving too much away. But 'read it' would be the main thing.

I had issues with the first half of the story. Both MCs had rambling internal musings that dragged me from the story. I also didn't feel any chemistry between the MCs. Then the story turned, or maybe it was my understanding of the characters as more was revealed. Suddenly I was rooting for the MCs to make it.

For me it would have benefited from less introspection (especially when in the middle of a conversation), and more dialogue tags. I adored Owen. And the author had a deft hand with a lot of Owen's excellent amusing one liners.

Not quite the romantic comedy I was expecting (although it did have some funny moments). With topics of poor self esteem, depression, and manipulative relationships, this story had more substance than the light and fluffy tale I was expecting.

I rarely read the blurbs for books that I read beyond the initial decision to add them to my TBR pile. Sometimes I should. Knowing that this was set in the same universe as All for Show might have added something to the story, but it might not. It can certainly be read as a standalone, and I didn't feel that I missed anything by not relating the two stories together.

I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers story. I think it had just the right amount of angst and had I not had to leave the book just as things got gut wrenching (damn social obligations) I suspect there would have been tears.

This book seemed to have a lot less internal musings than the first, and the ones we did get were tighter in construction and less rambling.

This was heading for a 4.5* review until the final chapter. Dropping to a 4*. However I know that some readers will get to the last chapter and decide that the contents bump it up half a star not down.

Looking forward to the next book in the series, although I'm not sure who it might star, Cal and Edgar, or (and this would be impressive to pull off, because he is a complete bastard) Hunter and Josh.

And can we please have a series name...

I need to think about my review...
Well written and I loved Cave (and, unusual for me, the baby) but Ransom... Ransom made me pissed off, spitting nails angry for a lot of the book.

I've decided that this book deserves 4 stars. It made me cry, ugly, throat-tearing tears and it made me want to scream and pound my fist into people's faces (Ransom and Toby). But it made me feel, even if some of those feelings were anger and injustice.

I have to admit that something that I thought would be an important point of the story ended up as nothing but a footnote. ( saving the boardwalk )

Adorable. Probably my favourite Oceanside book yet.

Enemies to lovers. One of my favourite tropes. Bring it on.

Didn't disappoint. Good plot. Great relationship.

Karl carried this book for me. He was opinionated but somewhat adorable.

I've read all four of these books.
All four star reads for me except BANK ROBBER'S BABY which was my favourite and a 5 star read.

Check out the individual reviews for my opinions.

Loved this tale of secrets and lies and history repeating itself.
Chunky, sweet, closeted guys are like catnip to me.
Can't wait for the next book in the series.

This was a sweet book. Liam and Mason each had a lot of baggage to work through, but I liked how they eventually communicated. It took a little to get there, but it didn’t feel so angsty where I wanted to bash their heads in. It was written in a comfortable pace with a good balance of sweetness and angst. They were totally adorable together and I was glad to see Liam put himself out there despite his concerns of being a single father. Roo was adorable. I enjoyed reading this and definitely want more in this new series.

I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC provided by Gay Romance Reviews

Short with interesting potential but I found myself more confused with a bunch of the details. Tried to fit a lot into a small amount of pages. Could see this expanded to a bigger story.
