The good:
If you are looking for a raw and genuine tale, this is one. There is murder, treachery, rape, drug dealing, and a lot of growing up real fast.
The back cover copy and the dedication at the end of the book are worth the price of admission alone.
My favorite moment in the story is when the protagonist is getting out of prison and keeping his eyes peeled at the outside world from the windows of a bus.
The bad:
Grammar sticklers will want to steer clear. The punctuation and capitalization is not standard.
I wish there had been more introspection on the page, and I was curious about the situation with his mother. I also wish there had been more about his time in prison.
In the end:
This is a really cool little book. You have to respect that it took a lot of work to pull off writing and publishing it. I love the pull no punches attitude.… (plus d'informations)
