I couldn't decide if the bad grammar was bad writing or intentional effort to dumb down the characters. But I would hope radio announcers would have a better grasp of the language. Some of the hokey dialog was very similar to that in Romero's original Night of the Living Dead.

A good movie version of this scenario is Pontypool.
