I'm sorry if I expected little from this book. written by someone who was a bit of an airhead on telly in the 80's, most recently in the news for either being beeten up or having an affair, neither of which shows intelligence. on top of that I would assume that english is not her first language. So enough reasons.
However this book engaged me from the start. The language conveyed the characters very clearly and involved me with the story. In some ways the best part was being immersed in the world that was created. that is not to say that the story line was not also engaging.
