I'm been vacillating between giving this book two stars or three stars.
The information contained within the book lends it towards three stars - as it is indeed a wonderful guide towards giving effective massages. The book goes over the various techniques that can be used, and when each technique should be employed. In addition to the basics, the book further explores which massages best benefit each particular work out - as different work outs and sports affect different muscle groups. A great guide.
In favor of a lower rating is the fact that the book was edited extremely poorly. Typos run rampant, to the point that one or two sentences took extreme effort to parse out. I's were frequently replaced with r's throughout, which was a truly odd experience for me as a reader. It was a difficult fault to ignore.
All in all, this is a lovely guide and it does a decent job of arguing in favor of more regular massage for just about everyone. I would have liked a minor expansion of the section regarding meditation and the benefits of focusing the mind, but that's more personal preference than anything else.… (plus d'informations)
