Cute, especially for young readers associated with Georgia, but maybe limit towns included in lengthy descriptions so it flows better. Also, Hiawassee and Toccoa are misspelled. Fun and simple illustrations, a good choice for toddlers learning to recognize the alphabet. Maybe a book for tourist stands or libraries.

This was a cute book to gift to my niece (who lives in GA) for Christmas. Some of the writing and rhymes seemed forced or just not very good, but still a cute book. The illustrations were well done, and the fun extra of finding the dog throughout was nice.

This ABC book is all about the state of Georgia. It uses the alphabet to talk about landmarks, important places and cities for each letter of the alphabet. Many of the words are far above what would be readable for young children to whom ABC books are largely geared towards. This one would certainly have to be read to them by an adult, whether that be a family member or teacher. The pictures are bright and colorful and hand drawn. The passion of the author for Georgia comes through in the pages of this book.

With all of the city references, and important places around the state of Georgia, I'm not sure it would hold the attention of a ground preschool age or Kindergarten age children. Let alone children younger than that. Where I see the target audience for this book is for people from the state of Georgia whom may live elsewhere. Giving them a way to share their love of their home state to family and friends or their children especially if they don't get to "go home" and visit the state of their birth or childhood.

Super fun ABC book especially if you are from Georgia! I loved the nods to local state culture and history. The pictures were nicely colored and drawn. My 4 year old wanted to read it again and again. She also really liked the illustrations. The finding Milo part was a bonus and added fun to the reading. I liked that the illustrations were something someone with drawing skills might doodle and color, they are authentic and not "slick". Some of the rhyming was off but that didn't bug us much. #unviersityofnorthgeorgia… (plus d'informations)
