I don’t read many self-help and/or diet books anymore because most of them take information that could be explained in a few paragraphs and try to make it into a full book. For some reason, this book intrigued me, though, and I was pleasantly surprised because it contains a lot of information. It’s not a book for light reading. There is a lot of information about how the body works at the cellular level, etc. It would be good to use for a college class or AP level high school class.
It explains that stress is the main cause of our health problems, how it causes the problems, and what we can do to help ourselves age gracefully with the correct self-care practices. I especially like the “Caveat” chapter near the end of the book. It lists in a nutshell the things you need to do when you’re ready to commit. After that, there are two 7-day meal plans. One is to help improve your endothelial blood vessel flow, and the other is to help women with menopause.
No matter what your age, this is a good book to use as a reference and reminder of the steps that can help you live a healthier and higher quality life.… (plus d'informations)
