A captivating journey through issues regarding electrolysis amongst numerous ferrous and non-ferrous metals, sundry wood joining types, and the proper placement of perforated drain tiles in relation to concrete footings, I found this book to be eminently readable. It would have benefited, perhaps, from actually being relevant to the exam for which it is intended to prepare budding architects. Missing is the effluent from septic tanks, proper procedural tasks as they relate to specific design phases, and whatever the hell Halon is. To additively paraphrase someone on the ARE Forum – “this isn’t so much a ‘Materials and Methods’ examination as a “Guidelines to Environmental Sustainability and Safety Compliance within Hospital Interiors.”

Alright, it wasn’t that bad, but if I failed it I know where you live Kaplan!
