This was a quick sensual read. My favorite kind of steamy novella, one with a happily-ever-after. The hero and heroine were both strong and likable. I really enjoyed their bond. We never actually meet the brother but he had an important role and I’d like to see him get his own story. My only problem with this short story was that I have an aversion to anal play and there was no warning letting me know, this is a huge pet peeve of mine. If you are looking for a steamy read this one is a great choice.

Sugar Walls is a steamy contemporary erotic romantic short story that will stimulate and arouse your sensuality. Written in the third person narrative, this is a story about how Jack and Emilie, who are best friends and neighbors, struggle with their mutual interest in each other beyond friendship. Both are afraid to take the next step and ruin their friendship, so they endure months of private sexual fantasies, secretly making love to each other through their shared thin walls as they self-pleasure themselves. Their secret fantasies continue as frustration and desire for each other builds ... will one of them finally make a move? Which desire is going to win: to just be friends or become lovers? Only the Sugar Walls knows what will become of their desire for each other!

Sugar Walls is an entertaining short story that quickly takes you through the months of Jack and Emilie's secret interest and desire for each other. While their desire grows, the author stimulates the reader's interest with some really steamy fantasy self-pleasure scenes. The build-up of Jack and Emilie's desire is just the warm up for their eventual coming together where their steamy, intense coupling is HOT, HOT, HOT! I thoroughly enjoyed this short story, it was definitely hot cha cha cha worthy!

After reading the blurb for Blue Light Special I thought it had promise, but sadly I was disappointed.

I have always loved a great sexy cop hero, and Caleb seemed to be that. Caleb was sexy, friendly, and sweet. He would fix Karin's car, and was there when she needed someone. But when it came down to it I didn't care for Caleb's attitude. He believed that since he was a cop and his job was dangerous that he should never marry and have children. Yes being a cop can be dangerous but I have always believe it is better to love and lost, then to have never loved at all.

Karin was a somewhat flat character. She was a bartender and flirted with the customers to get bigger tips. We never really got to know who Karin was, and about her past. I found Karin to be somewhat confusing and she didn't know what she wanted. One moment she wanted the sexy cop Caleb and the next she didn't because her brother asked him to watch over her.

Overall I thought Blue Light Special just had too little plot for me to really get into it. I needed something more besides that they both couldn't stop thinking of the other. I needed some excitement, and action besides between the sheets.
