Now, I love me an abused and insecure heroine, but this one frustrated me a bit. She was just too doormat-y for my personal tastes. Her tolerating Charlie's abuse isn't really the issue for me - that is how those kinds of relationships impact the victim. When she forgave Jake for cheating on her, I was annoyed. He was basically an asshole but Sam seemed willing to put up with anything because he said he loved her. I tend to like my abused heroines to heal and grow and regain self-esteem, with the help of the hero. My tastes are really specific for this genre, I guess.… (plus d'informations)

George: A Josephine Meyers Mystery by C.L. Heckman is a short story that will grab you from the first page and hold on until you finish, leaving you wanting more. Since this is the first book in the series, you should be able to get your fix in short order.

C.L. Heckman has written likeable characters, a fantastic plot with twists that will leave you breathless.
