Beautiful images and quality construction. An added bonus was that the puzzle came in a reusable muslin drawstring bag instead of plastic! Puzzle was interesting on both the micro and macro level. The pieces held together enough to move small groups, and loose enough for ease in putting away. The pieces did not grip or tear and were solid. Smaller size pieces and not thick.
Level: Medium.

Hasui is my favorite Japanese woodcut artist. He is a later artist (1883-1957) and his layering of color is magnificent. He tends to focus on landscapes rather than individuals. Although he creates some striking city scenes, he is at his best when the subject is trees or snow or waterfalls. This book offers beautiful color reprints of his art. It is not a complete colume of his work (there is one and it is expensive) but has representative work and is a better price than the larger volumes of his work.… (plus d'informations)
