Our main character, Mia is reflecting on how her relationship with Tom has gone from being all warm and tingly to being as cold as the snow falling in Germany, where she and her friend Lizzie are visiting. It is almost Christmas and the trip to Germany was supposed to be Tom and Mia, not Lizzie and Mia. While there we learn about the relationship in flashbacks and blog posts.
With the recent death of Tom's father, it seems Tom and Mia have grown apart, even though she thought their long distance romance was working. When Tom will no longer take her calls, she feels that it is over, even thoug she does not understand why. Lizzie intervenes to help Mia and Tom get together to force them to talk. It is a short, quick read which was enjoyable. Included, of course, are a couple of delicious sounding recipes.
There isn't really anything here that is all that unique or special, but it was still cute, so I think we are supposed to have fun with it, which is how I approached it. Overall 3 stars. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.… (plus d'informations)
