Christmas Cravings is the 7th book in the Greedily Yours series, but the first that I read. There was no difficulty following the story, but the characters lacked depth for me. I am sure if I had read the series, this would not have been an issue. This is a short novella so it was a quick read. References were made to previous books which did make me want to go back and read some of them. This is a foodie/blogger character and if you like that type of book you will enjoy this one.

Our main character, Mia is reflecting on how her relationship with Tom has gone from being all warm and tingly to being as cold as the snow falling in Germany, where she and her friend Lizzie are visiting. It is almost Christmas and the trip to Germany was supposed to be Tom and Mia, not Lizzie and Mia. While there we learn about the relationship in flashbacks and blog posts.
With the recent death of Tom's father, it seems Tom and Mia have grown apart, even though she thought their long distance romance was working. When Tom will no longer take her calls, she feels that it is over, even thoug she does not understand why. Lizzie intervenes to help Mia and Tom get together to force them to talk. It is a short, quick read which was enjoyable. Included, of course, are a couple of delicious sounding recipes.

There isn't really anything here that is all that unique or special, but it was still cute, so I think we are supposed to have fun with it, which is how I approached it. Overall 3 stars. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

'Christmas Cravings' was one of the 'Greedily Yours' series. I found it was one interesting short chick lit romantic read. For Mia and her friend Lizzy gave the reader a interesting read with even some humor. As the story goes on it will be friend with a love story of Mia and Tom as they go throw some up and down before it call come together in the end. The novel also includes a few recipes from the story located at the end of the story.Be ready for a story full of 'food references, a visit to a real German Christmas market, a sweet dog with some interesting characters that will keep you reading till the end giving the reader a quick read for the holidays.

Christmas Cravings by Emma Hamilton is a 2015 Bastei publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a novella length contemporary romance with a holiday backdrop, but is a blogger and foodie fan's delight.

I confess I am not familiar with the “Greedily Yours" series, but I saw it up on Netgalley and thought it sounded cute, and it can be read as a stand alone.

As the holidays approach, Mia is reflecting on how her relationship with Tom has gone from being all warm and tingly to being as cold as the snow falling in Germany, where she and her friend Lizzie are visiting.

Amid flashbacks and blog post, we learn that Mia and Tom have a long distance relationship, very busy careers, a dog, plus Tom's father is in very fragile health. But, they were making things work, until suddenly Tom becomes incommunicado and Mia is left wondering what went wrong.

While the story is a bit disjointed, with the flashbacks and the random blog post from the past and the present, overall the story is not all that bad. Tom is a bit of an enigma since we don't get his perspective with Mia's thoughts being predominently displayed. But, we leave the couple in a very good place and we are treated to some very intriguing recipes, like: Mia's Boozy Woozy Jamaican Christmas Cake.

There isn't really anything here that is all that unique or special, but it was still cute, plus it's a quick lunch break read, so I think we are supposed to have fun with it, which is how I approached it. Overall 3 stars
