The Music Box: The Story of Cristofori par Suzanne Guy
This is a wonderful book about the inventor of the piano. I use it when teaching my piano students. Highly recommend.
I put all of my adults and older beginners in Book 1 of this series after a few months of study and I find that it really helps their reading skills. Includes brief composer biographies. I wish that the books looked a little more inviting to younger students.
