Wonderfully written and illustrated book about a mother and daughter's first night at a shelter. The reason for staying in the shelter is not explained and the mother uses imagination to ease the transition.

There's a helpful section in the back that explains shelters in easy-to-understand language. But expect kids to have questions. Some more sensitive kids might be concerned about the idea.
