- Ned L. Gaylin (b. 1935) is an expert in family therapy, and a professor emeritus at the University of Maryland, where he founded and directed the MS program in marriage and family therapy. His works include the 2001 book Family, Self, and Psychotherapy: A Person-Centered Perspective. Gaylin received his undergraduate education first at Shimer College, where he enrolled via the early entrance program, and later at the University of Chicago. He obtained his Ph.D. in human development and clinical child psychology from the University of Chicago in 1965. (from Shimer College Wiki)
