I have yet to find a book by this author that I didn't genuinely enjoy (even the dinosaur books, IYKYK). The fifth installment in the Kinda Fairytales series, this book follows Maid Marion and Nick Greystone (the titular Sheriff of Nottingham). I'm not going to give away spoilers, although if you know this author you know that her books heavily feature the fated mates/HEA tropes. The difference here is that she writes them quite well, and with so much wit, that her books are just a delight. The humor and unexpected twists keep me coming back to this author time and again. My only complaint (and honestly, if this is the only complaint then it shouldn't deter you from picking up this book) is the typos. I read the digital Kindle version and, like others have said, she could benefit from a good proof-reader. This really only grabs your attention if you're nit-picky like me, and it genuinely doesn't affect my enjoyment of her books at all. I would read anything this author writes (again, even the dinosaur books)! Do yourself a favor and immerse yourself in Cassandra Gannon's works, you will not be disappointed.… (plus d'informations)

This book has the most fabulous mash-up of worlds, with characters from fairy tales, fables, historical legends, classic storybooks, and more, in a pseudo-fairytale world with occasional mention of laptops and other modern tech. It’s like a hot mess that works somehow. It has a lot of violence in it, but it never loses the irreverent and fun tone that keeps it feeling light-hearted.

My one issue has nothing to do with the story but seems important to mention: my copy of the book has the tiniest font I’ve ever seen in a book—it looks like 8-point to me. Maybe the print copy was auto-created from an ebook, or they wanted to keep the page count and cost down; but I found it physically difficult to read. I started to get kind of tired with the story about halfway through and felt glad to reach the end, but this fatigue might have been because of the reading experience.

Re: my cozy fantasy rating… This book actually has a lot of violence and references to cruelty. I decided to include it because it has such a unique set-up and funny tone, but it was kind of a toss-up for me as to whether it could be called cozy.

The main character is ugly stepsister Scarlett "Letty" Riding who has been incarcerated in the WUB (Wicked,Bad,Ugly) mental instution together with her sister Drusilla after Cinderella got her happy ending. Stuck in Group therapy with a bridge troll,a witch,an evil deposed Prince and an infuriating Big bad wolf,Scarlett organizes an escape.

Interesting idea about fairytale characters being categorized as Good or Bad..but its executed poorly. There are also many spelling errors.

The characters and the world wich it is set feels crude and I am not just talking about the way Marrok Wolf behaves towards Scarlett.

I could really have done without Cinderella being into BSDM and bestiality.
