What Little I Remember par Otto Robert Frisch
One of the many postwar atomic memoirs by the scientists and military personnel involved. By contrast, engineers' and politicians' accounts were scanty, and their experiences tended to be reconstructed second- or third-hand, if at all, by journalists.
A personal review of physics in the 20th Century with a light touch. Incredibly modest - to the point where his achievements are obscured.
A very nice text which explains the nature of matter, in all its forms, in a clear and logical manner. Not particularly dated, as most of this information is pretty basic knowledge which is not likely to change over 30 years. Useful for a science student wanting to get a better grasp on some aspect of physics.
