Wickedly funny, and deadly accurate.

Our company was recently bought out by a chinese one, so Chinese have been popping up here and there. I could recognize a bunch of points described in the book, last time I listened to a speech by the new VP. It really helped me understand the differences in culture and business.

A very entertaining read, because of the funny and light writing style. But don't let that fool you, the book is dead on with everything it says.

This amateurishly written, but entertaining, book can't quite focus on what it wants to be. There is some good practical advice about the differences between Chinese and American culture, but the authors also make broad generalizations without a solid basis. Other times they are just plain wrong. They ignore entrepreneurial Chinese companies such as Haier and Alibaba that aren't government owned (in fact, they don't seem to know they exist). The book also focuses mainly on how Chinese companies do business in the West, how they treat their Chinese employees, and what it is like for a Westerner to work for them. There are also inane requests at the end of each chapter for readers to post experiences about other countries on the authors' blog. These guys should have just stuck with the blog until they learned enough to write a more useful book.… (plus d'informations)
