And, yet, I was at the library to pick up a copy of K.I. Press' Types of Canadian Women, Volume II, and I spotted this in the 900's, and it felt appropriate to add to the stack.
(Because, yes, of course, I was not only picking up one book: who does that?)
Merna Forster's 100 Canadian Heroines: Famous and Forgotten Faces is surprisingly browse-able. It reminds me that I should spend more time browsing the books that I believe are written for other readers.
I did recognize several names, including Adelaide Hunter Hoodless, Agnes Macphail, Nellie McClung, Aimee Semple McPherson, Mary Pickford, Laura Secord, Emily Stowe, and Jenny Trout.
