This book was an absolute delight from beginning to end. I am in awe of authors who can just magically, it seems, conjure up stories with fully developed characters and worlds that seem like they really exist or have been around for ages. "Magic's Stealing," by Stephanie Flint, is one such book. I immediately fell in love with Toranih and Daernan and was especially delighted when I found they could shapeshift into owls. I've always been a sucker for an avian fantasy. This is a fun, fast and totally entertaining read and one that will appeal to children of all ages and anyone who loves a good fantasy and wants to step outside the world for a few hours.

"The Shadow War" is book two in Stephanie Flint's The Wishing Blade series. Having thoroughly enjoyed book one, "Magic's Stealing," I immediately delved into this one. The author has created a mesmerizing world and you'll want to get lost in the pleasure of reading about these characters and their adventures. This book ups the stakes a bit and I found myself eagerly flying through the pages at each twist and turn of the plot. I can't recommend this author, and this series, highly enough. I was sad to turn the last page and can't wait to revisit this world again.

The Shadow War (The Wishing Blade Book 2) by Stephanie Flint takes off where book one stops. This book has more suspense than book one. There is more danger, twists, turns, and surprises for our duo also. This book has lots of action, mystery, suspense, intrigue, adventure, magic, and plenty of good fantasy. This is a young adult novel but adults of all ages will love this. Loved the plot. Characters well developed. Great book. I was given this book to read and the review was optional.

Magic's Stealing (The Wishing Blade Book 1) by Stephanie Flint is a young adult fantasy novel that is fresh and intriguing. A city where magic, shape shifting, light and healing is the norm but someone starts stealing the magic and causing death. The story is based around two characters not affected who are determined to find the answer. The plot is nice with a couple of twists, well made characters, but the end stops slightly abrupt but complete. I enjoyed the story. I was given the story to read and the review was optional.

Distant Horizon by Stephanie Flint and Isaac is a young adult or teen book but any age would enjoy this sci fi/fantasy book. The book is great in showing a controlling government suppressing the people through mind control ideology and through chemical control, the pill they must take daily. This is about the rebels that don't take the pill and find they have super powers. I am a kid at heart and who doesn't love a good super powers book, but this one is a bit different, the powers can be flying or subtle. It is a great story and had me right away. Great plot, wonderful characters, good suspense, surprises, and an overall good read. I received this book from the author but it in no way obligated me to a review or effected my rating or review. It was just good.
