Really fun book for younger primary readers. Describes a trip to the beach and also promotes safe travel and staying safe while at the beach through a humorous story.

Some anthropomorphized animals take to the open seas in this frolicking, rhyming picture book.

This picture book is cute enough, especially for youngsters who really like boats or the ocean (or just fun animal stories). The text is mostly short and simple enough to keep even very young readers listening, although some more technical language about boating/sailing is included, which will help expand vocabularies. The illustrations are colorful and inviting, making every page cheerful and seemingly action packed.

All in all, this is a decent book for a read-aloud (either in a library storytime/preschool classroom setting or for caregivers as a lapsit type deal). However, it's not particularly standout either.½

I loved this picture book. It's about the change of seasons and enjoying nature. But, it's really a dreamy meditation about life and all the changes we face and accepting them. The artwork is wonderful.

This story is just too cute. The rhymes are perfect, the cadence secure, and the illustrations so much fun, you feel like you are there. A cat and a turtle go to sea and have marvelous adventures with their friends. A perfect read for storytime or any time.
