Written by Grand Duchess Elisabeth Feodorovna after she had become Abbess of the Mary-Martha Convent in Moscow, this "Mission Statement" gives us a glimpse into the world that the Grand Duchess entered when she took the veil.

The booklet shows us what a nun's day would have been like. At the end of the book is a very short biography of the Grand Duchess.

There are plenty of photographs of the convent throughout, however the quality is bad, this may be due to the age of the pictures rather than the publication quality.
