I was looking forward to a nice little adventure with the characters from the Star Trek: Lower Decks animated series, but then Ryan North offered up a holodeck malfunction story, and hologram malfunction stories are my least favorite Star Trek episodes. It's a real shame, since North captured the tone of the show and the voices of the characters fairly well.

North also tried to use the snarky little footnotes at the bottom of most pages that worked so well in Squirrel Girl, but that trick fell flat here and seemed out of place for the Star Trek franchise.… (plus d'informations)

Three kids with different back stories are brought together by the purchase of the "Witch House" by a billionaire. They seem to be the only ones in the town not effected by the spell that she has the townspeople under especially when they see her renovators as just tools that move by themselves and a huge gargoyle. Lots of silly stuff and screaming happens as they try to thwart the new Witch in town's plan to tale over first their city and then the world.

This issue was the perfect setup for a new Goosebumps series! The team is vaguely introduced, and since they haven't actually spoken more than a few words to each other, I'm curious how well they're going to work together.

The Whaley house is supposedly haunted, and even the adults stay away from it. Randomly, a woman decides to buy the house, and we quickly learn that she isn't what she seems.

My son and I had a lot of fun with this one, and the illustrations were amazing! I think they'll really appeal to a younger audience, and the details were fantastic. We're both looking forward to the next issue!
