I couldn’t put this memoir down! Fedoruk writes with humour and full disclosure about marriage with a husband whose work as a sea urchin diver keeps him from home for weeks at a time. I cheered for Fedoruk and felt right there with her as she cooked up a storm to fill the long dark nights on Gabriola island, and worked multiple jobs to create a good life for her family.
