Joby Fanon

Joby Fanon, born in Martinique in 1923, studied law in Paris and worked as a customs officer in Paris, Moroni, and Strasbourg. For his support of a short-lived Martinican independence movement in the early 1960s, he was banned from his home island for over a decade.
