A propos de l'auteur
Eric Metaxas was born in New York City in 1963, and grew up in Danbury, Connecticut. He graduated from Yale University, where he edited the Yale Record, America's oldest college humor magazine. He has written several biographies, including Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign afficher plus to End Slavery and the New York Times bestseller, Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet. His latest book is entitled, If You Can Keep It: The Forgotten Promise of American Liberty. Joan of Arc was aware she would die because of her work, yet she persisted, even when frequently betrayed by the court, and even by the king whom she cause to be enthroned. This unlearned girl gave powerful answers to the trick questions of her inquisitors.
All of the chapters were quite moving, but I was choked up as I read about Mother Teresa.
