I look forward to this yearly volume's release ... well, every year! This is ~350 pages chock full of information about astronomy -- mostly targeted at amateur astronomers, but with even wider appeal. If you are looking for "one stop shopping" regarding the year's astro-events, there is no better place. You will need to supplement it with a decent star atlas, because the charts included are pretty rudimentary (that's the only place this wonderful volume falls a bit short).
