Product Description from Amazon.com

Colleen Caldwell is the owner of Triple C Ranch, a boarding and teaching facility located in the hills and valleys of beautiful Simi Valley, California. Colleen, a gorgeous young widow at thirty-two, has a passion for horses and soft spot for the underdog. Joan Caldwell, the mother of Colleen's dead husband, lives with her and works the accounting end of the business. Our story begins on a hot, hung over, August Sunday morning. Colleen is training a young filly, when the horse suddenly goes crazy and nearly tramples her to death. From nowhere, a mysterious cowboy appears in the dust and saves the day, and then disappears before Colleen gets the chance to thank him. Colleen is rushed to the hospital where she meets August Riley, a woman with a troubled past, and Leah, a nurse with a heart and the knowledge of how to use it. The first installment of the Triple C Ranch Saga follows Colleen's journey through recovery, where she learns more than she ever bargained for.

Remembering August starts out with a young widow who trains horses and has a boarding facility. While working with a young horse Colleen's mind travels back in time to some moments in her life. It makes me wonder if she is rehashing the moments or thinking she should have done something different during that time.

While this story only covers about 3-4 days or possibly a week in Colleen's life the story has a Big impact. I know most people might think that a story that only cover's those few of days would think that a book like this would be in to much detail but that is just not true. The author has created a wonderful book that had me crying at the end. This is the first in a series of books. I am eagerly awaiting the second book in the series. I want to know how some people tie into the book and how others are left behind.

After finishing this book it will leave the reader wondering why the author killed off such a wonderful character. It will also leave the reader wondering why so many mysterious characters. I know that the author will let everyone know why in the future Triple C Ranch Saga series. According to the author there will be a total of 3 possible 4 books in this series.

The author has written some very strong female characters in this book. According to the author he grew up with some very strong females in his life most importantly his mother. He states that he could not write a female character any other way. The strongest and main character in this book is Colleen, but there are several other important and wonderful character in this book.

Come back soon and I will have a special interview with this wonderful author. Maybe he will let us readers know some of what will happen in the next book. While you are waiting check out his website or his blog at www.rodneyearle.com
