Critiques

This is a group of essays by Finley Peter Dunne the creator of Mr. Dooley. Mr. Dooley was supposedly a saloonkeeper in Chicago of philosophic bent who appeared in commentaries by Dunne. He made ascerbic and humorous comments on the affairs of the day circa 1900. Mr. Dooley punctured foibles and castigated politicians in a humorous manner.

The essays are accompanied by commentary by Dunne's son Philip Dunne. The essays are fairly short and very readable.
