I received a review copy of this book from LibraryThing in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this story and I really liked the plot twist. The characters, primary and secondary, quickly became real and what happened to them was important to me. I never saw the end coming and for that I am particularly grateful. This work could have quickly devolved into a typical I am Number Four and 5th Wave knockoff, but instead Pavlou has created something unique and interesting. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment in the Endohuman Trilogy.
The only major criticism I have of this work is that the author has the main characters speak way too much profanity. I understand that this is a teen driven story and the majority of the story takes place while the teens are under tremendous stress. However, and this is a large however, teens can (and do) communicate without using profanity and authors can advance the storyline without a smorgasbord of profane language. The occasional curse word would be much more effective than the reverse.
Final rating: three and half stars.

Adam is just your typical teenager hoping that the girl will like him and that he will be accepted by the other kids but he is something else. But Adam knows that he has to listen to his grandfather and not fall in love as he has a mission and nothing can stand in his way. But Adam choses to find his own way with dire results. Adam is a endohuman that has super powers but he has to wait as it isn't his time yet but everything is about to change in his world. He is taken from his grandfather and told many lies about the old man and Adam can't believe that he is just a normal human boy but no one believes him but they are coming and Adam has to be able to withstand their power. But is he ready and what is going to become of his friends Harry & Evie?I found it really hard to follow some of the story but it was a good read.… (plus d'informations)
