I 'know' Buck Downs mainly for 2 things: his taking over editing/publishing the poetry magazine "Open 24 Hours" from Chris Toll; his mnthly (?) mailings of poem postcards. Here's a short poem from the bk:

Decemberer

Than ever, the
damage is self
explanatory.
& evinces the
need to revisit
New Orleans
each year whenever
there is no Mardigras
in yr. soul left.
