Evangelicals will approach people, Catholics included, and ask the question, "Have you been saved?" or "Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior?" This language is foreign to Catholics, and many do not know how to respond. And when they stumble, some evangelicals use this as a bridge to explain why they believe that no Catholics, or at least this particular Catholic, is not a Christian.
