This is an inside job--commissioned by RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. So don't expect much in the way of a critique of the ad campaign (which was pulled from the market because it was appealing to underage smokers).

What this is is a bright, colorful photo-history of Joe Camel the character and the multi-faceted ad campaign that surrounded him.
