Lauren works as a doctor in a small New England town and lives a peaceful life on the coast. She’s also in hiding from her abusive ex-husband and knows she might have to flee at a moment’s notice if he finds her. After her dog chases down a man riding a motorcycle and then makes him wreck, Lauren takes the handsome stranger home with her. Even though Marc tells her he’s on the run from his biker gang in New York City, he’s hiding something much darker. He’s definitely the type of man she needs to avoid, but the chemistry between them can’t be denied. When the truth comes out, will she forgive him or push him away?
This story is pretty short but not lacking in the heat department. Very hot! Though I liked it, the love/lust between the H/h was almost instant and the abrupt ending was a surprise. There were some typos, but I would like to find more stories by Ms. Day.

So much fun! Miles and Rose grabbed me from the very beginning. Their back and forth bickering was really funny. It made them getting to know and like each other that much more satisfying. I am such a sucker for enemies to lovers and this absolutely did not not disappoint.
I enjoyed the relationship Miles had with his family, despite his father's threats. it was nice to have characters that were rich parents that were not awful snobs. One thing I would have liked was a little more detail or a deeper dive into Rose's late father and more explanation of what really happened with his money. I did not fully grasp how that was all resolved.
Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor were fabulous narrating this book. Jason always does a great arrogant guy.

This book was selected to be reviewed months ago, but only after I tried to track down the author (who does not have much of an internet presence) I was told: "Due to exclusive right issues with another platform I was not allowed to send out the book yet."
This is unacceptable for this author to think that's a professional way to present new material, and it's on LT to screen their authors better.
Even if it does come out, I probably won't read it. This is ridiculous.

Update:
Well, I did manage to get it, and it wasn't really well written. I was confused, to be honest, about the secret part of what the secret was, the whole "plot" as you would say, and the lack of character development, well, it made the final few pages, the 'erotic' part of the book, steamy, but empty. You don't really care as to why these people are together, even after what they went through, and you really question the sensitivity the author placed in these character's roles in each other's lives. It was not good. I do not recommend.… (plus d'informations)
