Full disclosure Marie-Eve hired me as a theological consultant in the writing of this book, just to make sure that her interaction with tradition and scripture was sound (within her own theological orientation). I love working with people to help them refine their beliefs and find freedom to express their theology confidently. That said, this is an important book for people who are part of a faith tradition but find themselves single even into their 30s and 40s. Folks that would like to be in a relationship but are struggling with the personal compromises that some modern dating strategies seem to necessitate. She writes a book of hope and encouragement - not that God will fix your problems, but that God is present even in the moments when life seems to be conspiring against you. I have already recommended this to one friend who I think would benefit from a relatable companion on the difficult journey of singleness as a Christian, because sometimes the Church can be unkind to singles (often unintentionally). I also believe that Marie-Eve's story is helpful for those who aren't in her target demographic - she is witty and engaging.
