Intended for religious audiences, as it includes "say a prayer" as part of the bedtime ritual. A bit annoying to just stumble upon it without warning. So here's a warning!½

OMG this book is adorable!!! This was given to me as a gift for my birthday and it is so cute. It is a pop-up book with an adorable story about a mermaid named Pearl. There are extras like a seashell necklace and matching bracelets. there is even a picture frame in the back of the book where you can put your face into a mermaid picture so that you can be your very own mermaid! Just too cute!!! ❤️❤️❤️

This book contains several children's poems that are easy to understand. This book could be used for any lesson on poetry. I would recommend it to elementary school teachers.

Summary: A mother duck has 5 baby ducks and each day when they go to play, one more goes missing. The mother duck gets very sad and goes looking and calling for them until they all come back to her.

Reflection: I enjoyed the repetition, rhyme, and pictures in this book. The class would have something to repeat "quack quack" throughout the book, and that would help to keep them interested.

Class use: 1) The children could tell us about a time they or a sibling got lost and how they felt, or how their parents felt, and what they learned from the experience. 2) Young children could us the book to count, especially if they are learning to count backwards. 5 down to 1 is pretty basic, but incoorperates the math lesson without knocking them over the head with it.
