- Jon Cronshaw is a British science fiction and fantasy author based in Morecambe, England.
As a freelance features writer, he has had work published in local and national newspapers across the UK, including the Metro, Yorkshire Post and the Guardian.
He earned his PhD in the history of art from the University of Leeds in 2011, focusing on the life and work of Anglo-American sculptor, Jacob Epstein (1880-1959).

The main character is a whiny brat, but I assume that is the point, so she can make a full circle growth. The best characters are built from uninformed people. Her temperament also explains the low world build, as she doesn't have a clue about the world outside her privileged life. Very well set up, character wise.
I don't think I would have been down for this book had someone told me it was going to be a lot of period talk. lol But Jon did a great job of capturing the unwillingness to accept the advancement that change brings.
The ceremony was lackluster, I don't know what I was expecting but with all the build to it, and fear of it, it was kind of a let down scene.
I love the tarot theme, it was an added intrigue to discover the influences from the card, that themed this book. Can't wait to see how other cards influence other books within this world.… (plus d'informations)
