"Numbers are Everywhere" is a great book for guided reading because it follows a pattern. Each page begins with "Numbers are." The book gives the reader examples of where numbers are in their everyday lives using words and pictures. The reader can make real life connections to this text by thinking about where he or she sees numbers on a daily basis. This text can be considered a math text for emerging readers and is not very syntactically complex.
