His father explains to him what it means when someone dies, and how he did nothing wrong. While the story was heartbreakingly hard to read, I think this book could help many younger students who are dealing with loss.

The book asks questions from a child's point of view and things they would wonder on a daily basis about where their mom might have gone. The end is happy and talks about being able to communicate with their family to help them feel better. Ages 3-6 Pierce County Library

shortstuff21313 | 71 autres critiques | May 28, 2018 | Diversity feels too forced for me. Careful inclusion of too much whilst ignoring issues like having a large flight of steps up to the front of the Library and no visible means of access for the powerchair (or the buggy trying to leave)...
Also, why does "Lee Wu" always have to be referred to by both names? No-one else has a surname even mentioned. This could be a cultural preference I'm just unaware of, but it feels odd.
