Another book (related to my watery theme because it has ‘fish’ in the title) published by Annick focuses on the ways in which animals teach each other. Certain survival skills, language, and social skills are all learned behaviours and how they are passed along and used by various animal species makes for some fascinating reading.
Tool-using orangutans and chimps, rats learning to eat pine cone seeds or avoid poison, guppies and sticklebacks learning how to choose mates, and crows in Japan that use cars to crush walnuts are just some of the smart critters featured in Christie’s intriguing book.… (plus d'informations)
