The GIANT Encyclopedia of Science Activities for Children 3 to 6 has more than 600 activities to be implemented in the classroom; however, the activities are geared more towards making a craft or making a snack to eat instead of actual science experiments. Although I did come come across some new activities to try in the classroom, I would not use this book on a regular basis because it requires an enormous amount of teacher preparation and participation while the children only have a minor part.

Overall, this book does not support that the process is more important than the product and does not fit into our philosophy of cultivating lifelong learners.
