When the heroine goes for a job interview, she encounters the hero and and it was rival-at-first-sight. And when she gets the job and learns that he also works at the same company, the relationship changes. Thus begins the journey of love for the couple.

This is truly an entertaining story with wonderful characters. This is chick lit with a dash of romance, focusing on how the heroine and hero's relationship from friends-to-lovers. I didn't mind the slow-burn romance though I would have liked snippets about the heroine's acknowledgement of her true feelings earlier in the story. For personal preference, I also wanted a better closure at the end. Overall, this is still an enjoyable read.

Getting Over Jesse Franklin was sweet, kinda fluffy and somewhat funny.


The storyline was really good, but the writing style left something to be desired. I found myself skipping the narration and only reading the dialogues. I wanted to know what happened next, but I did not want to slog through the narration.


But the story on the other hand, was really sweet and kinda cute. I enjoyed the light read after all the psychological thrillers I'd been reading, but the narration could've definitely been better.… (plus d'informations)
